A winter visit to NYC wouldn’t be complete without enjoying one of the city’s most celebrated traditions, the Rockefeller Center Ice Rink. Here you will skate around the base of the iconic Christmas tree in the heart of Rockefeller Center, with room for only 150 skaters at a time to enjoy this intimate yet incredible experience. This main NYC winter attraction was an accidental innovation and opened on Christmas day 1936, Formally being called the “Skating Pond”.
The rink is open for 8, 30min sessions a day (8:30am – midnight) with the season running until spring 2018. General admissions run on a first come first serve basis. Though there are advanced tickets and season passes available. The address is 600 5th Ave, New York, NY 10020.
Happy skating!
